Traditional steel bumpers are heavy, whereas the injection molding process allows the use of polypropylene (PP) composites, ABS, or high-performance engineering plastics, which have a density only one-seventh that of steel. This results in an overall weight reduction of 50% to 60%, directly improving fuel efficiency, reducing carbon emissions, and enhancing vehicle handling performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through CAE simulation analysis, thin-walled reinforcing ribs and honeycomb structures can be designed to avoid material redundancy. By incorporating microcellular foaming injection molding (MuCell process) or gas-assisted injection molding technology, microporous structures or cavities are formed inside the parts, further reducing weight by 15% to 30% while maintaining impact resistance and surface aesthetics.
